Lori Weaver
“Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” Romans 8:1
Hearing this for the first time almost 20 years ago was so freeing to me! Lived my life condemning myself for every mistake I made. Pressured myself to always be the best and never fail. This led to a life-time of disappointment because no one can be that person! When God revealed to me that He accepted me as I was – WOW! I started focusing on Him and what He wanted – not the world. This freed me emotionally and mentally. Been a Christ Follower for almost 25 years and making mistakes daily, but learning and growing in His ways. I love nature and anything outdoors! Like to be busy and always trying new things and going on new adventures. I’m very much an extrovert and love being around people. I have four wonderful adult children that still keep me on my toes. As long as I stay focused on God and what His will is for me, the next step will fall into place.
Fun Facts About Lori
- I hate to read, but I am a writer.
- I love doing yard and outdoor work.
- My brother and I rode our bikes to the gas station in our small town and stole chocolate popsicles. By the time we got home, our parents had called the chief of police, who was a friend of theirs, and he proceeded to tell us we were going to jail. Mom and dad said there was nothing they could do. Needless to say, lesson learned and I never stole again!
Ricky Altmiller
Hello ICOM Family! I am so excited to join this amazing team as the new Director of Students.
Since graduating from Johnson University in 2010, I served as the youth minister for two congregations in Missouri and Michigan. God has blessed me with a beautiful wife, Stacy. She is a doctor currently in residency pursuing Anesthesiology with LSU. In March 2022 God brought us Liam. He is a wild man that is always on the move and melts hearts with one smile. We live just outside of New Orleans, LA.
I look forward to connecting with youth ministers and students across our country to cast the vision and uniqueness that is ICOM. I was greatly impacted by ICOM as a student attending in the 2000’s. It was at ICOM I remember being in awe of how big God’s Kingdom truly is as I walked into the convention center seeing flags from all over the world represented by missions and individuals who dedicate their lives to Christ reaching the people from these same countries. I saw the local mission at work visiting ministries around the greater Cincinnati area.
It was at ICOM I connected with Enoch Naydaor (Former Director of Ghana Christian Missions and past ICOM President) who warmly welcomed the idea of me serving the mission as an intern. It is my heart’s desire to passionately share this incredible gathering and network of Kingdom Workers with our students and youth ministers. We serve a great God who is active and eager to work in and through each of us. I look forward to meeting and connecting with many of you over the upcoming months. Thank you for your partnership and support of ICOM.
